We solely concentrate on the "Kona Hawaii Golf Trail"
here on Hawaii's Big Island, because we know and have played these
courses extensively, and quite frankly prefer to play golf in
4 hours or less, and not having to drive all over the place to
enjoy a round or two. Ok, we're spoiled!
4-1/2 STAR RATING WAS GIVEN TO SEVEN OF THE "Kona Hawaii
Golf Trail" courses you can play. "Golf Digest"
We have top notch restaurants, accommodations, shopping, sightseeing,
deep sea fishing and the worlds only active drive in volcano.
Come on over to the "Kona Hawaii Golf Trail", stay
and play, you won't be disappointed.
SEVEN COURSES RATED 4-1/2 STARS BY GOLF DIGESTS PLACES TO PLAY!
The 5th edition of "Golf Digests Places to Play", for
2002-03 has rated the following seven courses, Mauna Kea, Hapuna,
Mauna Lani North, Mauna Lani South, Waikoloa Beach Resorts Beach
Course , Kona Country Club Alii Mountain course and Hualalai all
4-1/2 stars, out of a possible five.
There were only fifteen courses in the entire state of Hawaii
which received this 4-1/2 star rating, and we have seven of them
right here on the Kona/Kohala Coast of the Big Island, all with-in
15 to 30 minutes of each other. Tough to make a decision? Plan
your next golf vacation around them, and play them all!
For ratings of all of our Kona/Kohala courses check under "golf
courses" on our web site.
Weather? What we know about it is, what makes the Kona Kohala
Golf coast of Hawaii's Big Island, a golfers paradise. First of
all our coast line is about 97 miles in length. Which means if
the weather isn't to you liking on the north end, check out the
central or south sections. Just because we are on an island, don't
think for a moment the weather is the same all over our island.
Why? Keep in mind this island is larger than states of Rhode Island,
and Delaware, combined, and just about as big as Connecticut.
Good golfing.
